The wolf, to me, is the fierce, knowing, intuitive feminine. She moves with instinct, guided by an inner compass that doesn’t falter, even in the dark. She doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. Her strength lives in her presence, her listening, her deep-rooted wisdom. I’m so many ways, becoming a mother reminds me of a call to wolf energy.
Wild Whisper is the first piece in my 3-part Wild Woman series: a body of work honouring the untamed feminine in her many forms. The wolf is where all of these paintings emerged. She is both the home and departing point of this work.
